The Portuguese winger admitted that he is excited to play under Steven Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox this season.
Rangers ace Daniel Candeias sat down for an exclusive interview with the Scottish Herald, and boldly declared his love for the Scottish game, insisting that he wants to remains at Ibrox for the foreseeable future.
The 30-year-old joined the Gers from Benfica in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £700,000, according to the Scottish Herald, and the winger enjoyed a fairly successful first season in Scotland, from a personal perspective at least, chalking up eight goals and 13 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.
Despite the impressive showings from the Portuguese, Rangers struggled, and eventually finished the season in third position, a full 12 points adrift of bitter rivals Celtic.

Candeias sat down for an exclusive interview with the Scottish Herald, and insisted that he really enjoyed the challenge of Scottish football, whilst committing his immediate future to Rangers in the process:
“Scottish football demands hard work. It is different to Portugal or Turkey or other places I have played. But I like Scottish football. I think it is a better style for me. Nothing has really surprised me about it. I had seen Rangers and Celtic play in the Champions League in the past so I knew there was a good league here. “I signed a new contract and of course I want to stay. I am very happy and I want to be here for more years.”
With Steven Gerrard now at the helm at Ibrox, many are predicting that Rangers will push Celtic all the way this term, and if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that, Candeias will undoubtedly have to be at his very best.
