Glasgow Rangers’ latest signing Daniel Candeias played under Pedro Caixinha previously, and has been reunited with him at Ibrox.

Daniel Candeias has told Rangers’ official website that he hopes that Pedro Caixinha can bring the best out of him just as he did during their time working together at Nacional.

Candeias has become the Gers’ latest signing, having signed a two-year deal with the Scottish Premiership side. He, like a few of the signings that the Light Blues have made this summer, may be something of an unknown quantity to the Ibrox faithful, so while he outlined just what he is willing to bring to the side, he insisted that Caixinha knows how to get the best out of him.

“The coach knows me really well and it was with him, when we were at Nacional, that I gave my best performances and I believe he’ll be able to bring that out of me here once again,” he told the club’s official website.

“I play as a winger but first of all I want to help the team and I will do what the coach asks me to do and I’ll try to do that the best I can.

“I would prefer to play in my position but I would do whatever it takes to help the team and coach out.”

The 29-year-old’s comments will certainly please the Rangers fans who know little about the winger as they suggest that he has the attitude required to adapt to his unfamiliar surroundings, and subsequently succeed with the Gers.

And they will also be hoping that the rest of the new signings are similarly determined to make an impressive impact for the Light Blues, as given the number of signings made, it could take some time before Caixinha’s squad starts to really gel, so having a cluster of extremely motivated additions should surely help during this period of transition.

And they will also be hoping that Caixinha does know how to get the best out of Candeias once again, as having a winger who can consistently cause full-backs a host of problems will provide a major boost to the side as they look to put an uninspiring season behind them.
