Rangers are allegedly looking to bring Daniel Bachmann to Ibrox.

Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann has told LAOLA1 in his native Austria that Rangers have made contact about signing him this summer.
Bachmann, 24, left Austria for Stoke City in 2011, but then moved on to Watford in 2017 after a series of loan spells, and he’s yet to make his debut for the Hornets either.
However, he has been impressing in Scotland on loan with Kilmarnock, and his performances appear to have sparked interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bachmann still has a year left on his contract with Watford, but he has told LAOLA1 that Rangers are now in the pursuit of his signature.
“There are contacts with my English agent, but now I am concentrating exclusively on Kilmarnock,” said Bachmann about Rangers. “From June I am again a player of Watford and I want to prevail in the Premier League. It’s good that my achievements are acknowledged, but at the moment I am only concerned with achieving our goals with Kilmarnock,” he added.
Bachmann has thrived under Steve Clarke at Rugby Park, and the goalkeeper even saved a penalty against Rangers back in February.

Whilst the move may be appealing, it would also be a huge risk for Bachmann to take. He’s only just getting consistent first-team football at 24, and can’t afford to go back to the bench after years on the sidelines in England.
Allan McGregor is Rangers’ undoubted first-choice stopper, and Bachmann has little to no chance of supplanting him any time soon, and even though McGregor is approaching his 40’s, it’s still a risk to go to Ibrox on the basis of being a future replacement.
With Hannover and Stuggart also in the race, snubbing those two major German sides for Rangers would be a major gamble for the Austrian ace, with first-team football the most important thing for him right now.
