Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Daniel Alves.
Alves is a free agent at the moment, having left French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.
Tuttomercatoweb.com has claimed that Inter Milan, Juventus, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Sevilla all are interested in securing the services of the former Barcelona right-back.
The 36-year-old Brazil international has commented on his future, and has been quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com: “Now I am free. I still have a lot to win in football and in this spirit I really think I can go anywhere.
“I can only say one thing: those who engage me will get a real champion. Nothing is decided yet, but my intention is to go to the club that will offer me the biggest challenge.”
Good signing for Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur?
Both Arsenal and Tottenham could do with a right-back, and while it is clear that Alves cannot be a long-term signing, the 36-year-old can certainly do a job for a year.
Signing the former Juventus star on a one-year contract would not be a bad idea for Arsenal or Tottenham.
Alves’ quality and experience will help the Gunners or Spurs in big games, especially in Europe.
The Brazilian is a serial winner, having won the UEFA Cup twice with Sevilla, La Liga six times and the Champions League thrice with Barcelona, Serie A once with Juventus and the Ligue 1 title twice with PSG.
