Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal want to sign the Real Madrid ace, according to reports.

Dani Ceballos looks set to leave Real Madrid this summer, with Tottenham and Arsenal leading the race for his signature, according to a report from Spanish media outlet AS.

So which club should the Spaniard choose?

The 22-year-old is a ball-playing midfielder, and he would slot into either the Spurs or the Gunners first XI’s seamlessly.

The logical move for Ceballos, however, will be to a club where he will be able to challenge for major honours, and as things stand, Tottenham would be the better choice for him than Arsenal.

The way in which Spurs play probably suits the Real Madrid man more too.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side like to build up play from defence, through the middle of the park and eventually into attack.

And should Christian Eriksen leave Tottenham this summer, Ceballos could become their go-to play-maker.

The Spain international could thrive playing alongside the likes of Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso in the middle of the park, if the Argentine makes the switch to north London.

It could be argued, however, that Ceballos would receive more regular game-time at Arsenal, and that could be enough to tempt him into joining the Gunners rather than Spurs.

It will depend how ambitious he is as a footballer, though.

Tottenham are a side on the up, whilst Arsenal seem to be in decline, and a move to Pochettino’s side could yield more success.

AS claims that the midfielder will cost €50 million (£45 million), and in today’s market, that would represent excellent value for money for both north London clubs, but quite where he will be plying his trade next season remains to be seen.
