Dani Ceballos raves about Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette

Dani Ceballos has told The Guardian that he feels Alexandre Lacazette is Arsenal’s best player and he cannot wait until the Frenchman is fighting fit.

Lacazette sat out the Gunners’ 2-2 draw at Watford last week through injury.

The France international underlined his importance to Arsenal prior to the international break with a solid display against Tottenham, scoring his side’s first of the afternoon.

An ankle injury will sideline him until October at the earliest [Football London] but Ceballos, on loan from Real Madrid, can’t wait until his team-mate is back.

He told The Guardian: “Lacazette, for me, is the best player: he understands the game perfectly and, if he’s 100%, he’s going to give us so much.”

It’ll be interesting to see how much Lacazette’s absence affects team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The two have struck up a wonderful relationship on and off the pitch at Arsenal, though Aubameyang did score twice in the game that Lacazette missed last weekend.

The former Lyon joined the North Londoners under Arsene Wenger in 2017.
