Tottenham Hotspur are said to be leading the race for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

Spurs target Ceballos was in stunning form for Spain on Monday night, in his nation’s defeat to Italy.
The playmaking midfielder scored Spain’s first goal in the contest, and looked a level above every other player on the pitch.
Tottenham have been linked with Nicolas Zaniolo from Roma (Calcio Mercato), but he did not have anywhere near the same impact as Ceballos.

If Pochettino was doing his scouting then he can’t fail to have been impressed with Ceballos’s display.
Ceballos showed poise in possession, a great weight of pass and a lethal finish.
And if Spurs are edging closer to completing the transfer of the 22-year-old for £45 million, as has been reported, then it only seems more likely now.
