Brian Laudrup is really hoping that Leeds United do not come in with a big money bid for Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent, as per his comments in the Daily Mail.
Leeds have been strongly linked with the Rangers winger in recent times, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to upgrade his attacking options for the campaign.
Rangers have so far batted away all bids for Kent, as he is a player that they want to keep.
And Laudrup has already seen signs that Kent looks very driven this season, which is why he is hoping that Leeds don’t turn his head by making a massive offer.
“Looking at Kent, it seems that he is very happy with how things are going and not at all as if he wants to leave,” Laudrup said.
“He looks really determined and more direct. He is someone who could make the difference this season — who already is, in fact — and will become even better in the future.
“Hopefully Leeds don’t make a really extreme offer because that would be some decision for the club to have to make.”
Kent has indeed made a bright start to the campaign with Rangers, despite the uncertainty over his future.
The 23-year-old has looked like Steven Gerrard’s side’s biggest attacking threat, and it is easy to see why Leeds are seemingly so intent on taking him.
Kent would put Jack Harrison’s and Helder Costa’s starting positions under real threat if he was to arrive at Elland Road, and would surely increase the quality of their attacking line-up.
