Scarlett came off the bench for Tottenham in their 4-0 victory over Ludogorets, with Jose Mourinho keen to reward the 16-year-old for his impressive showings for the club’s development side.
And Scarlett says that his first senior appearance for Spurs was so special, as it came just a year after he sustained a serious knee injury.
Scarlett actually caught the eye on debut for Spurs, with his showing impressing.
The youngster almost scored twice, with his pace very clear for all to see.
Scarlett’s opportunity in the first-team will surely have left him eager for more chances in the future, and it will be interesting to see whether he stays in Tottenham’s Europa League squads now, as Mourinho is able to name 12 substitutes.
Scarlett made his debut alongside fellow Tottenham academy graduates Harvey White and Alfie Whiteman last night.
