Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno has spoken highly of Dane Scarlett, as quoted in Football.London.
Nuno has said that Scarlett struggled for Tottenham in the Europa Conference League game against Vitesse last night.
The 17-year-old striker was leading the line for Spurs.
Tottenham lost 1-0.
Nuno’s verdict
Nuno told Football.London about Scarlett: “Dane is 17 years old. It is tough for him but many of our players when they were 17 were not involved in first-team football.
“he is full of talent, of course details that comes with experience and experience is when he competes against tough opposition like he did today.”

One for the future
Scarlett did not have a good game against Vitesse and struggled to cause too many problems for the opposition defence.
However, in our view, it was not the 17-year-old striker’s fault.
Well, not entirely.

Tottenham could not create enough chances for the teenager, who was left isolated in attack.
It is clear that the teenager, a graduate of the Tottenham academy, is still coming to grips with the step-up to senior football.
However, we must remember that Scarlett is only 17.
Yes, just 17.
It is not easy for any 17-year-old to play for a big like Tottenham in European competitions.
We think that Scarlett will come good eventually.
There is no pressure on the teenager to make it big just yet.
The English youngster has time on his hands and can develop at his own pace.
