Tottenham Hotspur are through to the next round of the Europa League after beating Wolfsberger 4-0 this evening.

Spurs won the first leg 4-1 last week, and opened the scoring after just 10 minutes tonight with Dele Alli scoring a stunning overhead kick.

Carlos Vinicius headed home the second with a header from an Alli cross, and Gareth Bale then fired Alli’s pass into the roof of the net.

Vinicius added even more gloss to the win by smashing in a left-footed strike late in the day, with Tottenham easing past the Austrian side.

There was particular excitement after Dane Scarlett’s introduction, and the 16-year-old made his mark on the game.

Scarlett nicked the ball in the final third to set up Vinicius’s second, showing great speed and desire to win the ball back.

With that assist, Scarlett became the first 16-year-old since Kylian Mbappe to record an assist in the Europa League, which ironically came against Tottenham back in 2015.

Scarlett looks like being a star of the future, and matching an Mbappe record will only serve to heighten the excitement.
