Things nearly boiled over between Jiri Prochazka and Josh Hokit during the build-up to UFC 327.
UFC 327 is back in Miami this Saturday, with Prochazka facing Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight belt.
The card suffered a blow just a week out when the co-main event, a title fight between Joshua Van and Tatsuro Taira, was scrapped due to an injury to Van. Prochazka’s build-up hasn’t been smooth either. He came close to an altercation with heavyweight Josh Hokit on media day earlier this week.

On the main card, Hokit faces his toughest challenge to date as he squares off against Curtis Blaydes in a bout that could move him closer to title contention.
Known for being outspoken, Hokit didn’t hold back when he crossed paths with Prochazka before the media day on Wednesday.
As Hokit walked past, he paused and stared at Prochazka, prompting the former champion to stand up, anticipating a confrontation.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Hokit asked. “You don’t wanna come up to heavyweight. Sit down.”
“What did you say?” Prochazka replied.
Hokit repeated his challenge: “I said sit down. You won’t come up to heavyweight.”
This time, it was clear from the look on Prochazka’s face that he had no interest in going back and forth with someone who wasn’t even fighting for a title – at least not yet.
