There’s already plenty of buzz surrounding the UFC White House event scheduled for 2026, and Dana White has started sharing more specifics.
From the moment Donald Trump revealed plans to bring a UFC event to the White House in 2026, it was clear this would be one of the most anticipated moments in the sport’s calendar.

It wasn’t always certain that this would move beyond an idea. But Dana White has since confirmed that he’s met with President Trump at the White House to start putting things in motion.
Dana White on Khamzat Chimaev and Conor McGregor fighting at UFC White House event
The change could be tied to various factors, including fighter availability. One of the big names already attached is Khamzat Chimaev, who was initially slated to fight Colby Covington in July but will now compete a month earlier.
Fans are also holding out hope that Conor McGregor will make his return at this event. While nothing has been confirmed yet, his presence would only add to what’s shaping up to be a remarkable card. The 2026 matchup between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira is already being compared to their memorable encounter at MSG years ago.
More details emerge about the 2026 White House UFC event
With the event being such a unique one, plans are still being finalised and more details continue to trickle out to fans.
And the UFC boss has recently provided even more details about the event, touching on how many fans may be able to attend the festivities.

“So, we went to the White House last week, me and my team and we had the first meeting with him. We laid out all the renderings and we started to get him to sign off on what he likes and what he doesn’t like,” White told The Herd.
“He loved it so now we’re diving in head first now all the work starts. This last time I was at the White House, I went up on the roof and they’ve got snipers with 50 cals all over the roof, it’s pretty crazy.
“The security is gonna be a massive issue because at the end of the day, Secret Service’s job is to protect President Trump and I don’t know how it’s gonna work out as far as having people there live on the lawn of The White House.

“It will be under 5000 though but I can’t remember what they call it, there’s a park that’s connected to The White House. We could put 85,000 people over there with screens and we’re gonna put a big stage out there and do concerts –we’re gonna take over Washington DC that whole week,” White revealed.
Who will feature in the main event?
Right now, there’s no clear favourite to headline what is already shaping up to be a historic occasion. Jon Jones, the former heavyweight champion and widely considered one of the best ever, has put his name forward, though Dana White seemed to dismiss that idea pretty quickly.
Conor McGregor is also rumoured to be eyeing a return for this event. Even if it’s not a title fight, his comeback alone could easily make him the main attraction.
Much like they did for UFC 300, the card is expected to feature multiple title fights across different weight classes. Even without knowing all the matchups yet, it looks set to be one of the most stacked lineups in UFC history.
