The man tasked with designing Everton’s new stadium was present at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Everton fans are reacting to a tweet posted by Dan Meis, the architect tasked with designing the Toffees’ new stadium, at Sunday’s season finale against Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham have only recently relocated themselves, with Everton only the sixth senior side to visit the new White Hart Lane.
And Meis liked what he saw of the 62,000-seater venue, particularly its single-tiered South Stand – which is the largest of its kind in England.

Everton recently announced the second stage of public consultation for their new stadium project, which will take place during the summer.
The Merseyside club hope to submit planning applications later in 2019, with the construction process expected to take around three years.

Goals from Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun earned Everton a 2-2 draw against the Champions League finalists, to ensure an eighth-placed finish for Marco Silva’s side.
And the Toffees faithful were in a buoyant mood, as their city rivals, Liverpool, were pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City.
