Dan James has told the official FIFA website that Raphinha has taken his game to an even higher level at Leeds United this season since the winger earned his maiden Brazil call-up.
Tite named Raphinha in a Selecao squad for the first time in October, and saw the forward assist twice on debut against Venezuela.
The 24-year-old then failed to influence the scoreline as Colombia held Brazil to a goalless draw. But then responded perfectly with a brace on his first senior start against Uruguay.

Raphinha made his latest Brazil start as the Selecao beat Colombia 1-0 on Friday morning, with Neymar assisting Lucas Paqueta.
The Leeds star played 64-minutes, but left the action with the scoreline at the Neo Quimica Arena still level.
Raphinha has been free-scoring in the Premier League for Leeds so far this term, with five goals in 10 games. Just one shy of his 2020/21 haul from a third of the number of matches.
James hails Brazil call-up for Raphinha form at Leeds
James, who joined Leeds from Manchester United for £25m in August, puts Raphinha’s club form down to his Brazil breakthrough.
The Wales forward knew he was joining a top talent at Elland Road after facing Raphinha last season. But feels the Whites’ £17m arrival from Rennes in 2020 is so much better now.
“He’s a magician. He’s always been a great player,” James said. “I played against him at United and he was always great – but he’s improved so much.

“He fully deserved his Brazilian call-up and I think since he got it, he’s pushed on even more.
“He’s even more confident. He can do absolutely anything on the pitch. It’s great playing with him.”
James is not alone in lauding Raphinha, with Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier also singing his praises this week.
The Brazilian has been a cut above the rest in West Yorkshire so far this season, after all. Offering boss Marcelo Bielsa a game-changing presence on the wing, and taking a lot of confidence from representing Brazil.
