Leeds must consider Eredivisie prospect.

Leeds United reportedly failed in an attempt to sign West Bromwich Albion loanee Harvey Barnes, according to the Express and Star.
Looking past the near miss, a strong alternate option for Leeds should be an Englishman starring in the Eredivisie, Dan Crowley.
Crowley is named by transfermarkt as Barnes’ nearest comparable, and he is a player with strong pedigree and huge potential.

Crowley quit Aston Villa for Arsenal when he was just 15, and was named as the next Jack Wilshere.
The attacking midfielder shone for the Gunners’ youth teams and on loan at Barnsley.
With the task of breaking through at Arsenal ultimately too tough during Arsene Wenger’s final seasons, Crowley looked elsewhere, signing with Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II, where Leeds defender Vurnon Anita is one of his new teammates.
Just 21-years-old, Crowley is a regular for his club, scoring two goals and providing two assists in eight Eredivisie games this season.
If Leeds were to bring him in, he could ultimately take Lewis Baker’s place in the squad, and eventually succeed Samu Saiz if he fulfils his potential in an attacking role.
