Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are reacting to an update about Mesut Ozil.
The former Germany international hasn’t played a senior game for the Gunners since way back in March.
As a result, it looks like Ozil – out of contract next summer – is on his very last legs at Arsenal, particularly after head coach Mikel Arteta left him out of his Premier League and Europa League squad.
And with links to the MLS in January, it’s possible that the Emirates Stadium side could even pick up a fee for the 32-year-old.
According to ESPN, Arsenal are keen to offload him in January even though the player himself is happy to continue training in a bid to try win a place back in the squad during the second half of the campaign.
Here’s how fans of the North London side are reacting to James Olley’s update about the enigmatic playmaker on Twitter:
Arsenal have only scored 10 goals in 11 Premier League games this season, culminating in Arteta’s side sitting 15th in the table before this current gameweek.
It’s been a horrendous season and really, bringing Ozil back into the fold, if a January exit fails to materialise, is probably best for all parties.
