Duff is currently working with Shamrock Rovers youth teams, but is in talks with Celtic.

Damien Duff has told Irish outlet RTE that he is desperate for a move to Celtic and join the coaching staff – confirming that talks had taken place and that he would be joining the reserve team.
The two-time Premier League winner has gone into coaching after finishing his career with Shamrock Rovers, where he is now a part of the first-team coaching staff as well as manager of the club’s Under-15 side.
The 39-year-old visited Celtic last week as the Hoops look to replace the loss of Shaun Maloney, who left his position as Under-20’s manager to join Roberto Martinez’s coaching staff at Belgium.
Duff confirmed that he has held talks with Celtic and that he went over to Parkhead and Lennoxtown last week. The ex-Chelsea, Fulham and Newcastle star said he would “swim over to work there”.
“I spoke to them last week,” Duff said. “I went over to the training ground and met everybody. It was so impressive. For me and most Irish men, they are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“There is a role going there with the reserves. We’re still talking to them. It’s an amazing club and something will hopefully happen. That could be an amazing environment.”

Duff recently took part in the combined Ireland and Celtic side that took on Manchester United’s legends in honour of Liam Miller’s death, alongside the likes of Maloney, Neil Lennon, Stiliyan Petrov and John Hartson.
The only stumbling block to a move seems to be whether Duff would be willing to leave his family in Ireland to take up the role at Celtic. The Hoops have been without a reserve team manager since September.
