Dalcio was one of five Rangers recruits making their bows at Ibrox on Thursday.

Five of Rangers’ eight summer signings were on show for the first time competitively, as Pedro Caixinha’s side narrowly overcame Progres Niederkorn in the first leg of their Euopa League qualifying tie on Thursday.

Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso and Dalcio all started at Ibrox, with Alfredo Morelos and Daniel Candeias stepping off the bench in the second half.

The latter two didn’t have long to show off their talents, although the displays of Jack and Cardoso appear to have been unanimously well-received by the Rangers faithful.

The same, however, cannot be said of Dalcio, who it seems is seriously dividing opinion after only 90 minutes in Light Blue.

Here’s what is being said about the 21-year-old, who signed for Rangers on a season-long loan from Benfica last month.

Rangers take their slender advantage to Luxembourg on Thursday, where they could be boosted by the presence of Mexican recruits Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera.

The Scottish giants’ other new addition, Bruno Alves, is registered but may not feature due to his participation in the 2017 Confederations Cup.
