Rangers picked up another superb win on Tuesday night, as they beat St Johnstone 4-1 away from home to make it six wins from seven league games.

Graeme Murty continues to impress as Rangers manager, and the Gers are keeping the pressure on Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic by again cutting the gap to six points with Tuesday’s win.

However, Rangers are left somewhat sweating today, as the Chinese transfer window closes – and that means Alfredo Morelos’ immediate future will finally be settled.

Morelos, 21, has been a sensation since making a summer move to Ibrox from HJK Helsinki, and his goal against St Johnstone on Tuesday night now means he has hit 17 goals in 33 games this season for Rangers.

The Colombian has quickly become a fan favourite at Ibrox, but his goalscoring exploits have sparked interest from rival clubs, with Chinese side Beijing Renhe particularly keen.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Beijing Renhe have failed with four bids for Morelos, the most recent totalling £9million, but could now return with an £11million bid as the Chinese transfer window prepares to slam shut.

Rangers are now just a matter of hours away from holding out and keeping Morelos at least until the end of the season, and with D-Day upon the Gers over Morelos’ future, fans will be desperate to see the striker stay, with a ‘no news is good news’ approach likely.

In fact, Rangers boss Murty has even told The Scottish Sun that he is relaxed about Morelos’ future, as only a ‘ridiculous’ bid would see him leave Ibrox, and conversations will only be had if silly money is offered, meaning Rangers fans may be in for a positive day after weeks of speculation.
