Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers signed the 21-year-old on a season-long loan.

Steven Gerrard has admitted to Rangers’ YouTube channel that it’s easy to forget just how young Joe Worrall is.
The Nottingham Forest centre-back joined Rangers on a season-long loan last summer.
It’s fair to say that the young defender has had a mixed time at Ibrox. There have been some excellent performances – particularly home to Villarreal in the Europa League – but also some questionable ones.
Worrall only turns 22 in January, and Gerrard insists that his age should be taken into consideration when judging him.
He told Rangers’ YouTube channel: “Joe’s come in on loan and been really well. He has put in some really good performances in big games.
“But he’s still young. You forget he’s 20 or 21 as well.”
Should Rangers sign Worrall on a permanent basis? Unless he improves in a big way, probably not.
Not that the youngster is a bad centre-back, because he isn’t, but he is inconsistent and do the Gers need him in the long term? Is he a player that Gerrard absolutely must sign? No.
The 38-year-old has plenty of centre-halves at his disposal, including Nikola Katic, Connor Goldson and of course Gareth McAuley. One more couldn’t hurt next summer, especially given that McAuley is 38 years of age, but that option should be better than Worrall.
