Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has been called up to the Scotland national football team.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has been in great form so far this season.
The 26-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a left-back, has established himself as a key figure at the back for Thomas Christiansen’s side.
The former Hull City and Chesterfield defender’s performances so far this campaign have been considered good enough to earn him a call-up to the Scotland national football team.

Scotland national football team head coach Gordon Strachan has included Cooper in his squad for next month’s games against Slovakia and Slovenia.
It remains to be seen if Cooper gets any minutes or not against Slovakia and Slovenia, but there can be no doubt that the centre-back deserves his place in the Scotland team.
Former Sheffield United and Hull City midfielder Curtis Woodhouse, 37, has sent Cooper the following message on social networking site Twitter in which he seems to amusingly suggest that Scotland is England B team.
