How would Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic fare in the Premier League?

Former Sheffield United and Birmingham City midfielder Curtis Woodhouse has stated on social networking site Twitter that Rangers would finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Woodhouse has also stated that if Celtic were playing in the Premier League, then they would end up bottom.

Celtic and Rangers are the two biggest clubs in Scotland, and both are competing in the Scottish Premiership at the moment.

Woodhouse’s predictions about Celtic and Rangers could be tongue-in-cheek. After all, it is hard to imagine anyone seriously backing the Gers to finish in the top four of the Premier League with their current team.

Moreover, Celtic do have a team that can compete in the English top flight, and it would not be hard to find two or three current Premier League sides worse than them.

However, if Celtic and Rangers were to play in the Premier League for a few years, given their massive fanbase and global pull, they could establish themselves as regular contenders for the Champions League places.
