Should Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey have been part of the England team against Slovenia on Thursday?

Former Sheffield United and Birmingham City midfielder Curtis Woodhouse has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Newcastle United star Jonjo Shelvey would have been perfect for England against Slovenia.
England won 1-0 against Slovenia at the Wembley Stadium in London in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Thursday evening.
The win saw the Three Lions book their place in the competition in Russia, but the performance of Gareth Southgate’s side left much to be desired.
Former Peterborough United player Woodhouse was following the match, and he suggested on Twitter that Shelvey would have been perfect for England against Slovenia.

Shelvey joined Newcastle from Swansea City in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £12 million.
The former Charlton Athletic and Liverpool midfielder is a very good player, and if he plays well for the Magpies this season, then he could find himself in the England squad for the World Cup finals in Russia next summer.
