Curtis Woodhouse has raved about Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones on Twitter while watching him in action against Brentford.

The former Sheffield United and Birmingham City midfielder was impressed by Jones’s performance and goal for Liverpool in their Premier League game against Brentford this evening.

The 20-year-old England Under-21 international scored a wonderful goal for the Reds, leaving Woodhouse – who played thrice in the Premier League during his career – impressed.

Jones is a very talented and promising young midfielder who has done well for Liverpool so far in his career.

The 20-year-old is a central midfielder, but, as he showed against Brentford tonight, he can drive forward and score goals.

Liverpool do have a very strong midfield, and when everyone is fit, it is not going to be easy for Jones to play week in and week out.

After all, not many midfielders can get ahead of the likes of Thiago, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson when they are fit and firing.

However, we must not forget that Jones is only 20.

Not many players at his age play week in and week out, especially for a club as massive as Liverpool.

Jones is at the right place to develop and improve, and under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, he will get better and will get time.
