Liverpool attacker Curtis Jones is ready for another first team opportunity.

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is excited for another first team opportunity this week in the Carabao Cup.
Jones was man of the match in Liverpool’s win in the previous round over MK Dons.
The under-23s captain knows this game against Arsenal will be a big step up. He refers to his only other chance against a top flight team earlier this year.
Jones was part of the Liverpool side which lost to Watford in the FA Cup in January.
He told the Reds’ official website he was stunned by the step up.
Jones said: “I’ve always been a confident lad and in the Wolves game I was still confident, but I had to handle a few things that I hadn’t come across before, which kind of shocked me a little bit.
“Just in terms of how fast the game is, the fans, the game itself. But being around the first team for longer and getting more training sessions and watching them prepare and do their things for games, it’s helped me. I think I’m just a more mature player and I can handle the pressure a bit more.”

Jones certainly feels he has progressed as a player since, and he is in good form for Liverpool’s under-23s.
This season he has been handed the captaincy at that level, and he is averaging a goal a game in terms of contribution. He has five goals and four assists in nine under-23 matches.
Jones also has two goals in three UEFA Youth League matches. The match against Arsenal could be his breakthrough.
