Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s performance on Thursday evening impressed Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones and Leeds United forward Sam Greenwood, as shown by their responses to the teenager’s Instagram post.

Saka, who can play as a winger or as a left-back, provided two assists for Arsenal in their 3-2 win against Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The win in the second leg of the Europa League Round of 32 tie saw the Gunners progress to the last-16 stage 4-3 on aggregate.

Saka has taken to Instagram to revel in the win, and Liverpool midfielder Jones and Leeds youngster Greenwood have responded to his post, as shown below.

Jones, 20, played with Saka for the England youth teams, while 19-year-old Leeds forward played with the winger for the Arsenal youth side and joined the Whites in the summer of 2020.

The winger was brilliant, as he linked up well with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and was a constant threat to the opposition defence.

According to WhoScored, Saka took two shots and one was on target, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 91.9%, won one header, took 57 touches, made two tackles, and put in two crosses.

It is very encouraging for Saka that his performance was so good that players from rival clubs – Jones of Liverpool and Greenwood of Leeds – actually publicly shared their admiration of him.
