Good managed just two senior appearances for Newcastle.

Newcastle United defender Curtis Good has told the Evening Chronicle that the reason for his failed spell on Tyneside was down to injury – but is determined to remind new club Melbourne City what he can do.
A one-time Australia international, 25-year-old Good joined Newcastle in the summer of 2012 but managed just two appearances for The Toon in six years.
This summer, he moved back to Australia with Melbourne City, where ex-Wigan boss Warren Joyce is in charge. Aston Villa man Ritchie De Laet is on loan there, while Michael O’Halloran moved permanently from Rangers.
The Chronicle claim he cost Newcastle £1.8million in wages – £900,000 a game – and Good is adamant that injuries prevented him from having an impact on the Newcastle first team.
“I learnt a lot over in the UK but unfortunately my opportunities were curbed a little by the injury I picked up with the Socceroos. I’m motivated to work hard in training and remind everybody what I can do,” Good said.

Good’s contract, which the Daily Star claim was worth a huge £12,000 a week, expired at the end of the 2017-18 season with Newcastle unwilling to renew the deal.
The defender was not a part of Melbourne’s FFA Cup quarter-final loss to Western Sydney on Wednesday, while O’Halloran and De Laet only managed substitute appearances. The A-League season starts in October.
