Hull City have sold defender Curtis Davies to Derby County.

Curtis Davies has put a heartfelt message out on Twitter, following his move from Hull City to Derby County.
Davies joined Derby in a £500,000 transfer earlier today – becoming Gary Rowett’s first signing of the summer.

Davies had a clause in his contract, which meant he was available on a cut price, following Hull’s relegation from the Premier League.
The move brings to an end Davies’ four year stay with Hull, and the centre-back has put a message out on social media to thank the Tigers’ supporters for their backing throughout.
Davies is expected to have a very important role to play at Derby in the upcoming campaign.
The 32-year-old is likely to go straight in to the Rams’ defence, as Rowett’s side go for promotion next term.
Derby finished in ninth place in the Championship this past season, and will be under pressure to improve considerably next time around.
