Glasgow Rangers January signing Jason Cummings seems to be a fan of Ibrox striker Kenny Miller.

Rangers striker Jason Cummings has told The Scottish Sun that he has learnt a lot from his Ibrox teammate Kenny Miller.

Miller has recovered from a hamstring injury he suffered in December 2017 and made a substitute appearance for Graeme Murty’s side against Ayr United away from home in the Scottish Cup this past Sunday.

The 38-year-old is one of the most experienced players in the current Rangers team, and Cummings, who joined the Ibrox club on loan from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window, has stated that he has learnt a lot from the former Celtic striker.

Cummings told The Scottish Sun: “Kenny trains well every single day and he’ll be pushing to get a start. I’ve learned a lot from him because he’s been in the game a long time.

“He’s good to have around the changing room because you can always pick up things from him.”

More competition?

Alfredo Morelos is the first-choice striker at Rangers at the moment and is arguably the best in his position in the current Gers squad.

Cummings is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup for now, and the return of Miller is only going to make it more competitive.

However, this is not necessarily bad, as competition for a place in the Rangers starting lineup is only going to help Cummings develop as a footballer.
