AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists star striker will not be sold
In light of gathering speculation about Jose Mourinho bringing livewire striker Mario Balotelli back to English football, Milan vice-president spoke out rubbishing the claims following the forward’s second penalty miss of the season against Genoa.
“Is Balotelli unhappy? He will stay, I’m 101 per cent certain about that,” Galliani said according to Sky Sports sources. “He’s our centre-forward, it’s just one of those moments.”
The unpredictable Balotelli did little to downplay his possible move from the club by tweeting “this is the end” immediately after the game, before turning up late for training two days in a row.
Galliani also commented on the forward’s lateness, “I don’t know anything about it. Training was at 11.30, he got there before 11. I don’t know what time they were supposed to meet up – you’ll have to ask the coach.”
Whether Chelsea want to bring in a character such as Balotelli is the real question. Despite his undoubted talent he proved too much for Roberto Mancini at Manchester City, who like Mourinho, managed the Italian at Inter Milan.
Despite a serious of reported bust-ups between the two during Balotelli’s days at Inter, maybe the Portuguese knows how to handle the Milan forward?
