Undoubtedly the tie of the FA Cup quarter-finals, Arsenal and Manchester United are set to do battle at Old Trafford on March 9th with both sides in intriguing spells of form.
United visited the Emirates in November, recording an impressive 2-1 win in what was Louis van Gaal’s first away win in English football.
That result helped spark an impressive run, coming after a win over Crystal Palace that started a six-game winning streak, and with the Red Devils avoiding defeat until a loss to Southampton in January.
The November defeat meant Arsenal lost two in a row after a reversal at Swansea, and saw renewed calls for Arsene Wenger’s dismissal among some fans. But since then, barring a couple of defeats, the Gunners have put together a strong run that sees them now up to third place in the Premier League.

United, on the other hand, have failed to record as many wins as they would have liked, even though they have fewer losses than their London rivals and also boast an improving defensive record.
It looks like Arsenal just edge United on the form stakes with the FA Cup game just three days away, but with Louis van Gaal’s side difficult to beat, it promises to be a fascinating contest as Arsenal look to repay United for that November defeat.
