Yannick Bolasie’s display for Crystal Palace at Manchester City is likely to have impressed scouts in attendance, with Liverpool and Napoli said to be keen.

It says plenty about the ability of Yannick Bolasie that his two most productive outings this season in terms of creativity have come against two Premier League heavyweights.

They have also come away from home, with the tricky winger proving that he can shine away from the familiar surroundings of Selhurst Park.

It must be noted that Crystal Palace favour a counter-attacking approach on the road, which plays to his strengths, but he still needs to get on the ball and make things happen.

He did just that at Manchester City on Saturday, with the reigning Premier League champions struggling to contain him.

Bolasie was unable to offer enough to collect a positive result, but the fact that he can trouble the best in the business will have been noted elsewhere.

The likes of Liverpool and Napoli are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation ahead of the January transfer window, and it is easy to see why – with the Opta statistics below highlighting his top five showings when it comes to attempted dribbles and his success in that area.

Were Bolasie to move on in the New Year, he would be expected to cost upwards of £10 million.

He has been justifying that kind of valuation, though, and the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Rafa Benitez may consider that to be money well spent.

Palace are not a free-scoring outfit or a side that often blows opponents out of the water, so it would be interesting to see how Bolasie fares if he was thrust into the ranks at a side pushing for a top-four finish in the Premier League or challenging for the Serie A title in Italy.
