Crystal Palace made an approach for Leeds’ Jack Clarke in January.
To this date, Crystal Palace are the only Premier League side to actually make an enquiry with Leeds over Jack Clarke.
Other teams have been linked since. But it was Palace who the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the Eagles expressed their interest directly to Leeds, before being told he was not for sale.
So Leeds should be a bit worried about Palace’s potential windfall they could be about to get for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Sky Sports report Manchester United are determined to sign the right-back, with Palace wanting £60 million for him, having rejected an opening £40 million offer.
Palace landing a £60 million windfall would allow them to land a number of transfer targets.
It would give them the funds to convince Leeds to sell Clarke.
Leeds have sold a key player in each of their summers under owner Andrea Radrizzani, Chris Wood and then Ronaldo Vieira.
At present, Palace have not revisited their January enquiry for Clarke. Landing a huge fee for Wan-Bissaka could change that.
