Crystal Palace are interested in signing Gabriel Barbosa from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Palace director of football Dougie Freedman flew to Brazil last week to watch the forward in action for Santos, where he is on loan from Italian giants Inter.

Competition

Palace, though, are not the only club from England who are reportedly interested in signing Barbosa.

According to Goal Brasil, West Ham United and Everton are interested in the 22-year-old forward.

Gabriel Barbosa of Santos runs during a match between Santos and Palmeiras for the Brasileirao Series A 2018 at Pacaembu Stadium on July 19, 2018 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Promising talent

Barbosa joined Inter from Brazilian club Santos in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £25 million.

The 22-year-old struggled to make an impact at the Italian club, but the youngster is doing well in Brazil.

According to Transfermarkt.com, the Brazil international has scored 16 goals and provided one assist in 31 Brazilian Serie A appearances so far this season.

Barbosa is a very talented and promising young forward, and he would be a good signing for Palace, Everton or West Ham.
