The Crystal Palace winger has headed to the National League side on loan.
Crystal Palace youngster Andre Coker has joined National League side Maidstone United on loan.
T-he winger has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for Palace but is set to gain valuable experience of senior football with Maidstone, as reported by The Croydon Advertiser.
Coker is also capable of playing as a striker if required and has featured prominently for Palace at youth level.
Given that he is strong physically, the 20-year-old should be well equipped to cope with the challenges that he will face in non-league football and this spell should be especially useful for his development.
Time is running out for Coker to make the grade at Palace but if he was to impress sufficiently at Maidstone then he could alert other clubs of the quality that he possesses and could potentially secure a deal elsewhere.
Coker has been at Crystal Palace since he was 13 and impressed in a friendly against Maidstone last season, which may well have been a key factor behind the club’s approach to sign him on loan.
Maidstone are currently in 14th place in the National League and have lost their last three games in succession, with the hope being that Coker can help to improve their fortunes.
