Why Nottingham Forest should make a move for Bakary Sako.
Nottingham Forests’ Oliver Burke celebrates scoring his teams third goal
Nottingham Forest sold star winger Oliver Burke to Red Bull Leipzig over the weekend, netting a fee of around £13 million.
Time is fast running out to sign a replacement, and if they cannot add star quality then fan anger at the Burke sale is unlikely to subside.
One player they would do well to target is Crystal Palace ace Bakary Sako, who impressed previously in the Championship with Wolves.

Sako signed for Palace last summer on a free transfer and made an immediate impact, scoring a winner against Chelsea, but went on to make just 11 Premier League starts.
The arrival of Andros Townsend over the summer further hampers his prospect of playing regularly, and Palace are doing their utmost to resist overtures from Tottenham for Wilfried Zaha.
If they can do so, then Sako could potentially be allowed to leave at the right price instead – if Nottingham Forest can make them a tempting offer.

Sako, 28, netted 15 Championship goals for Wolves in the 2014/15 season and provided seven assists.
Those type of figures exceed anything Burke produced, and are more comparable to Michail Antonio, who Forest sold the previous summer and did not replace.
HITC Sport understand Forest are close to signing Middlesbrough’s Mustapha Carayol from Middlesbrough, but if they can add Sako, then fans would really begin to get excited about their promotion chances again.
