The Eagles and Ivory Coast ace has been linked with a multimillion pound move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

Wilfried Zaha has described interest linking him with a departure from Crystal Palace as “flattering” but he insists the speculation doesn’t distract him from his job.

According to a Daily Mail report from last week, Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang were set to make a move for the Ivory Coast winger which would make him one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

The report stated that Zaha would have a salary of £11million per year on a four-year contract – believed to be worth three times his current salary at Selhurt Park – with an extra £2.5million per year in bonuses.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson told Sky Sports News last week that he has “heard nothing”, and Zaha, speaking to the same outlet, also played down the rumours, though he appeared to stop short of denying interest altogether.

“It’s flattering but it doesn’t distract me because I have a job here so I am focused on that,” he said. “I don’t get involved in anything else off the pitch.”

Tottenham Hotspur were believed to be in the hunt for Zaha last summer (Daily Mail) but lost interest due to a reported £70million price tag for the former Manchester United man.

Transfermarkt’s current valuation of the 26-year-old – who has netted three times in 18 Premier League games this season – is £31.5million.
