According to the Daily Mirror, Crystal Palace have identified Wilfried Zaha’s potential replacement, as a move to Everton appears to draw closer.

Palace want to sign Ismaila Sarr from Rennes if Zaha leaves, which seems to suggest that they could now be preparing for their star man’s imminent departure, with Everton keen.

Zaha handed in a transfer request and is understood to be keen on a move to Goodison Park (Guardian).

If Everton do sign Zaha it will be for a club record fee, as Palace have fought hard to keep hold of the 26-year-old.

Palace’s plan to bring in Sarr looks to be a good one, as the winger is absolutely rapid and could be a major threat.

However, Palace face competition from Watford for the £25 million rated wide-man (London Evening Standard), which means that they won’t necessarily get the transfer over the line.

Regardless, Everton most be encouraged by the latest transfer reports, as they give them a clear indication that Zaha could well be departing Selhurst Park today.
