Crystal Palace are ‘very interested’ in taking Sacha Boey to the Premier League with the Galatasaray defender a target for Patrick Vieira’s side, according to FootMercato.
With both Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne now the wrong side of 30, and with neither player really possessing the attacking thrust Vieira would ideally like from his full-backs, Palace fans can probably expect to see a new face on the right-hand side of their defence sooner rather than later.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh is one option. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, meanwhile, could potentially return to Selhurst Park after falling out of favour at Manchester United.
But keep an eye on Boey too.

Crystal Palace want a right-back with Sacha Boey of Galatasaray a target
According to FootMercato, Crystal Palace are ‘very interested’ in the 22-year-old Frenchman. A player who joined Galatasaray from Rennes during the summer of 2021.
Boey would prefer to stay in Istanbul. But with contract talks hitting the buffers (the former Dijon loanee is not pleased with the offer currently on the table), Palace are keeping a close eye on a developing situation, alongside fellow suitors Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg.
Boey has also been linked with both Liverpool and Real Madrid recently. His price-tag, meanwhile, has risen from £2 million to around £13 million in the space of 18 months.
“Celtic wanted to sign me,” Boey explained last year when asked why he chose Turkey over Glasgow. “I had to make a decision. I chose Galatasaray because it was a bigger club. That’s why I chose Galatasaray.
“I know Galatasaray from my childhood and the matches they played in Europe. I came to Turkey to improve myself and I will do the necessary work to achieve this.”
Middlesbrough’s Isaiah Jones another on Patrick Vieira’s radar
Crystal Palace have also shown an interest in Middlesbrough’s Isaiah Jones (TEAMtalk). One of the Championship’s breakout stars for 2021/22; Jones has come on leaps and bound at the Riverside, rediscovering his best form in a more attacking role under new Boro boss Michael Carrick.
“We’re trying to play to Izzy’s strengths,” Carrick tells the Northern Echo. “I think we all know what he brings to the team, and what he can do. I’m encouraging him to be positive and really attack the game.
“He can bring an awful lot to us, that not many players can. We’re trying to play to his strengths, and trying to get him up the pitch where he can cause some problems for the opposition.
“I’m sure there’s more to come from him. He’s still young and inexperienced in many ways, and I know that. I’m patient in that regard. But at the same time, I expect a lot of him because I know his potential and what he can do. We want him to be positive, and we’re really excited to see him perform over the next few weeks.”
