Valencia have stormed ahead of Watford in the race to sign Chelsea ace Trevoh Chalobah on loan after Thomas Tuchel gave his blessing to a deal, per Goal.
The La Liga outfit have paid close attention to the midfielder’s situation and form this summer as Jose Bordalas seeks to revamp the Mestalla ranks. They are now ready to open talks with Chelsea over a move and the chance to play regularly next season.
Goal consider Valencia to be the frontrunners for the 22-year-old’s signature, as Chalobah impressed during Chelsea’s pre-season run of fixtures. Los Murcielagos also monitored the Blues product during his strong Ligue 1 loan with Lorient last term.

Tuchel has instructed Chelsea not to sell Chalobah at any price, and may promote the U21 international to the first-team. His chances would improve if the Blues manage to offload Kurt Zouma, but are also pursuing Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
Chalobah may also leave on loan to free space, with several English clubs coveting his signature if he leaves temporarily. The Express and Star reported Valerien Ismael gave West Brom his blessing to strike a deal, before adding Brentford had joined the race.
Reports by L’Equipe then cited Watford and Crystal Palace as Premier League destinations for Chelsea prospect Chalobah. A midfielder football.london report Tuchel has no place for at Stamford Bridge, and informed can leave on another temporary transfer.
