The 28-year-old Belgium international was on the books of Liverpool for the 2015-16 season before being sold to Palace for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £27 million when Jurgen Klopp was in charge of the Reds.

Lazar Markovic has also congratulated his former club Liverpool on winning against Tottenham in Madrid on Saturday evening.
The 25-year-old winger was at Liverpool from 2014 until January 2019 when he moved to Fulham.
