Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke shared his excitement at the prospect of facing his former club on Saturday, when Liverpool make the trip to Selhurst Park, as quoted by the Daily Star.
The Belgian hitman has made a satisfactory start to life in South London, following his £27 million (plus add-ons) move from Merseyside, and has scored three goals in seven Premier League outings for the Eagles thus far.

Benteke spoke to the Daily Star ahead of his side’s clash against the Reds at the weekend, highlighting his excitement at the thought of facing his former teammates:
“I am looking forward to every game, not just against Liverpool. Of course, I am going to be happy because I will play against my old team-mates, but I am focused on every game.”

Alan Pardew’s men will be looking to arrest their alarming dip in form over recent weeks, after going three matches without a win in the league.
Contrastingly, Liverpool have been sensational of late, going unbeaten in their last 10 outings in all competitions.
Saturday’s trip to Selhurst Park will by no means be an easy three points for Jürgen Klopp’s side though, and Pardew’s men will surely be pumped up to the maximum as they look to bounce back from their poor recent run of results.
