The winger has improved immensely under the management of Pardew.
Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has thanked Alan Pardew for believing in him at Selhurst Park, after the Eagles sacked him earlier this week.
Pardew left Palace after nearly one year earlier this week after a difficult start to the season. He has since been replaced by former England manager Sam Allardyce – who they hope will help lift them out of relegation trouble.
Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha looks dejected
But Zaha was obviously disappointed with his exit. Pardew helped improve his game immensely during his 12 months at Selhurst Park and he shared this heartfelt tribute to his former gaffer on his Twitter account earlier today:
Palace fans may be worried that the arrival of Sam Allardyce may stifle the improvement that Zaha has been making at the club.
He has also been linked with moves to Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in recent times and fans at Palace will no doubt fear he could be tempted into a move elsewhere now that Pardew has been shown the door.
Allardyce’s first job at the club might be convincing Zaha he is best off sticking around.
