Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is in his sixth season at the Merseyside club. However, with the Belgian not featuring prominently in Ronald Koeman’s plan, Crystal Palace should make a move for him in the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old Belgian has made only two substitute appearances in the Premier League, clocking just 21 minutes of action.
The Belgian international, who has 56 international caps under his belt, was linked with a return to Olympiakos in the summer, but Everton pulled a plug on the deal.
Koeman has had issues with Mirallas’ attitude problems, and now the Belgian finds himself being out-of-favour at Goodison Park.
Palace have made the worst possible start to their Premier League history, having lost all their seven matches. And what has really been shocking about it is they have yet score a goal in the league.
Mirallas with his wealth of Premier League and international experience can provide that extra bit of quality in the Palace side, which could help them survive the relegation.
He has scored 38 goals in 179 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions, and has 10 international goals to his name as well.
The former Lille winger is facing an uncertain future at Goodison Park, and there’s no point holding on to him, when he is not in the manager’s first team plans.
A move to Palace, not a direct rival of Everton, would suit all parties involved.
