Crystal Palace newbie Yohan Cabaye has been discussing his start to life at Selhurst Park and clearly seems happy with his new surroundings.
The French international arrived from Paris Saint-Germain this summer for a club record fee, reported by Sky Sports to be in the region of £10 million rising to £13 million, joining up with his former manager Alan Pardew at Newcastle United in London.
Cabaye is happy with his new team-mates and says he is looking forward to getting to know them even better.
He told the official Crystal Palace website:
“I’ve enjoyed my time with them, they’re good lads with good spirit, good quality and good mentalities. I’m looking forward to getting to know them better than I do at the moment.
“It’s important to have a tour like this, especially for me because I don’t know much about my teammates. I want to get to know them and this will help. I want to do my best for them which will help me enjoy my football but also my time with them.”
Cabaye’s signing is certainly a show of intent from a Palace side who ended last season in style.

Palace are appearing as many people’s outside bet for the European places this season. With the pace and guile of Wilfried Zaha, Yannick Bolasie and Jason Puncheon going forward a pendulum midfield player is needed in the heart of midfield.
With Cabaye alongside the likes of Mile Jedinak, James McCarthur or Joe Ledley in the heart of the Palace midfield they will be a team feared by most of the Premier League, especially in the atmospheric Selhurst Park.
Cabaye might just prove to be the signing of the season, so his new team-mates better make him feel at home.
