Crystal Palace midfielder Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong played for Sheffield Wednesday’s Under-23s at Charlton Athletic on Monday.
Berkeley-Agyepong, who began his career at left-back, scored a hat-trick against the Owls in an FA Youth Cup tie in December 2013.
And his exploits have not been forgotten, it seems, with the Yorkshire side taking a closer look at the Eagles teenager three years on.
It is not uncommon for clubs to hand out trials at this stage of the campaign, when many young players are informed as to whether or not they will be kept on next term.
And Barkeley-Agyepong is not the first one to feature for Wednesday’s Under-23s in recent weeks, with Everton’s Michael Donohue appearing in the recent wins against Hull City and Queens Park Rangers.
The Croydon-born player, who turns 20 next week, has been with Palace since the age of eight, and has a strong sporting background, with his mum and dad winning medals in the long- and triple-jump respectively.

Wednesday went down 2-1 against the Addicks, with midfielder Lewis Price scoring a late consolation goal for the visitors.
