Crystal Palace could loan out Malcolm Ebiowei just months after beating Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign him from Derby County.

The Eagles have become masters of signing skilful wingers who are simply great to watch.

Wilfried Zaha’s popularity at Selhurst Park has been supported by deals for Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.

Palace then went and signed former Arsenal and Rangers talent Ebiowei over the summer and he fits a similar mould.

Crystal Palace could loan out Malcolm Ebiowei

This deal was seen as quite the coup for Palace over the summer.

The Daily Mail reported that Palace managed to beat competition from Tottenham Hotspur to sign Ebiowei.

Tottenham were allegedly the main competition for Palace in the race for Ebiowei but he chose to join Patrick Vieira’s side.

A simply outstanding dribbler, Ebiowei has so much confidence and ability in tight areas.

The 19-year-old appears to have a huge future ahead of him but first-team minutes at Palace are hard to come by.

Ebiowei has made two Premier League appearances as a substitute, but those displays have only added up to 20 minutes of playing time.

Ebiowei needs first-team action after playing regularly for Derby – where he was hailed as ‘excellent’ by Wayne Rooney – last season and a loan move could now be on the cards.

The Sun claim that Vieira is planning to allow Ebiowei to go out on loan during the January transfer window.

Championship clubs would surely jump at the chance to sign Ebiowei for the second half of the season and Palace are happy for him to move.

Under-23 football just isn’t going to cut it for Ebiowei and a loan move with considerable playing time would be ideal for all parties.

The hope then would be that Ebiowei will return to Palace as a more developed talent – and be able to show why the Eagles were desperate to beat Tottenham to him.
