But Crystal Palace are said to face competition for the Bayern Munich striker.

Crystal Palace fans are reacting to reports linking the Eagles with a move for the Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner.
The Sun reported on Thursday that the West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini ‘wants to close’ a £6 million deal for Wagner in January, but could face competition from his opposite number Roy Hodgson at Palace.
The newspaper claims Wagner is up for grabs just 10 months after his £11.5 million transfer from TSG Hoffenheim, alerting the London rivals.
Crystal Palace are currently without strikers Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham through injury and have scored the second fewest goals of any Premier League club this season.
But would Wagner be a welcome addition in south London? This is what those of an Eagles persuasion are saying on Twitter…
Wagner scored nine goals in 18 for Bayern last season, but has managed just one in eight since the appointment of Niko Kovac as manager. And according to the Sun, the 30-year-old is fed up of playing second fiddle to Robert Lewandowski.
The chance to play regularly at either West Ham or Crystal Palace could therefore appeal to Wagner, whose contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of next season.
