Some Crystal Palace supporters have taken to Twitter following an eye-catching report from The Guardian.
Jacob Steinburg reports that Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi is set to re-join the south Londoners on a season-long loan move.
The Belgium international will pen a contract extension at Stamford Bridge before reuniting with Roy Hodgson.
The ex-Marseille attacker scored five goals in just nine Premier League starts while on loan with the Eagles in 2018/19.
Batshuayi eventually returned to west London following Frank Lampard’s arrival. However, the former Derby boss handed the striker just one league start and 15 substitute appearances.

It is no secret that Palace need a goalscorer. Hodgson’s side scored just 31 goals in 38 league outings last season. Only relegated Norwich netted fewer with 26 strikes to their name.
Jordan Ayew finished as the south Londoners’ top scorer last term with just nine goals to his name. Tellingly, Wilfried Zaha was the next highest marksman with only four goals.
If there’s one thing Hodgson desperately needs, it’s a finisher.

Batshuayi – formerly a Borussia Dortmund loanee – will pen a one-year extension before joining Palace. This will ensure that the Blues do not lose the 26-year-old for nothing next summer.
Let’s see what the Eagles supporters on Twitter are saying about the news…
